School Choice Celebration Rally

Charter schools are included under the school choice umbrella because they provide parents with the choice to send their students to a school that may be more suitable to their child’s specific educational needs. Some charter schools focus on a particular field of study, some set higher academic or parent volunteer standards and others meet the unique needs of the community in which they serve. All great reasons a parent may choose to enroll their child in a charter school.

It is hope for educational choice that will bring students, parents, educators and community leaders together for the 2016 Georgia School Choice Celebration Rally. This will be a celebration to raise awareness around quality education options. The rally will be held at Liberty Plaza (across from the Georgia State Capital Building) on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 at 12pm. The program will feature student speakers, a state proclamation declaring School Choice Week in Georgia, the National School Choice Week Dance and more.

The rally is held in conjunction with the National School Choice Week, January 24-30, 2016. This is a nationwide spotlight on choice and empowering parents with better educational opportunities for their children. More than 13,000 schools, of different types, will be participating in School Choice week events around the country.
