Avolon Accounting Makes Thanksgiving Special For Two Charter School Families
ATLANTA — Avolon Accounting (Avolon), a Georgia based financial back-office company, used the Thanksgiving holidays as an opportunity to give back, making for an extra special holiday for two families. Avolon has worked with charter public schools for nearly two decades and knows firsthand how our clients work tirelessly to improve the lives of predominantly low-income students and their families.
For most, Thanksgiving is celebrated with family, friends, food, and fun. But for many families in our state and across the nation, the ability to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday is financially challenging.
In early November, Avolon held two drawings for our charter school clients. Each drawing would allow one family from these two schools to receive a $300 gift card and a holiday gift basket. The week before Thanksgiving break, Avolon staff delivered the holiday gifts to Atlanta Smart Academy and The Main Street Academy. Patrice Meadows and Virginia Smith, the school leaders at both charter schools expressed their heartfelt appreciation in making this Thanksgiving an extra special one for their well deserving families.
Candy Yu, founder and executive director for Avolon Accounting noted, “Avolon is far more than just another vendor for our clients, we are part of their extended charter school family. These gifts are our way of not only saying thanks but more importantly, giving thanks.”
